Winona, MN - The RCTC volleyball team had a big week this week as they played three Southern Division matches. The Yellowjackets went 3-0 in those matches and won all three in 3-0 sweeps. The Jackets success this week was due in large part to the play of Sophomore MH/OH Hayley Dessner, and today the MCAC recognized her for her efforts.
Dessner had a stellar 39 kills in the 9 sets played (4.33 kps), while hitting .367 for the week. She had 18 kills and hit .444 against MN West, followed by a 9 kill .421 performance against Ridgewater, before wrapping up the week with 12 kills and 14 digs against #4 ranked MN State Fergus Falls. Dessner added 34 digs (3.77 dps) on the week as well.
The Jackets hit the road tomorrow night as thye travel down I-90 to take on Riverland Community College in Austin, MN. First serve is set for 6:30pm.
