Three Yellowjacket Softball Players Named MCAC All-Division

Rochester, MN - The MCAC announced the MCAC Softball All-Division teams and RCTC was well represented with three players on the 16 person Southern Division Team.  The Jackets placed shortstop Carlie Hildebrandt on the first team, while pitcher/first baseman Torrie Klennert, and catcher Haylee Sawyer were named second team.

Hildebrandt, a freshman from Stewartville, MN,  batted .397 on the season with a slugging percentage of .676. The Jackets shortstop had a team leading 4 homeruns and had 23 RBI on the season.  The sure-handed infielder committed only 5 total errors on the season.

The Jackets Haylee Sawyer was named to the second team. Sawyer who hails from Dodge Center, MN and Triton HS, lead the team in RBI with 26 and batted a fantastic .500 for the season.  Sawyer had 3 homeruns to go along with 3 doubles and 31 hits in 62 at bats.  On the defensive side of the ball the freshman caught everygame for the Jackets.

Joining Sawyer on the second team was pitcher/1B Torrie Klennert.  Klennert appeared in 11 games for the Jackets going 5-6 on the season. Klennert was a dual threat as the freshmen from Dodge Center hit .452 with 7 doubles and 15 RBI.
