Rochester, MN - Jerome Cunningham picked a great night to score a career high 25 points, as the freshman guard lead the Jackets to an 82-67 win over MN West. The win moves RCTC to 15-5 overall.
Cunningham was all over the floor as he hit on 12-14 field goals, including a monster dunk, and had 9 rebounds in the game. The Yellowjackets also got a big game from Ray Adams, who hit on 8-15 shots for 17 points. Karmoga Lero (13) and Mickey Jah (11) joined the duo in double figures. RCTC shot 50% from the floor as a team, including 40% (6-15) from beyond the arc. At the same time, RCTC held MN West to only 34% shooting.
The Jackets outrebounded the Bluejays 42-34.
RCTC hits the road for a crucial MCAC game on Saturday. The Jackets head to Willmar, to take on Ridgewater College. In the first meeting between the two teams, RCTC came out on top 75-74, as Antonio Maddox had a steal and a made free throw at the buzzer for the win.
