RCTC runs win streak to six

Rochester, MN - The RCTC Yellowjackets volleyball team ran their win streak to six (6) straight matches on Saturday, downing Ridgewater 3-0. During the 6 match win streak the Jackets, who are 11-4 overall and 5-0 in the MCAC, have not dropped a set going 18-0 in sets since September 8th.

Rochester controlled the match from start to finish against Ridgewater, winning by the scores of 25-9, 25-14, and 25-16, and outhitting Ridgewater .306 to .089.  RCTC held the Warriors to only 3 kills and a -227 hitting percentage in set one.  The Yellowjacket outside hitters led the charge offensively on the afternoon, with Carrie Rutledge hammering out 13 kills, while Hailey Bahr added 10 kills and a fantastic .391 hitting percentage.  RCTC's Brekkin McCready dished out 38 assists and had 12 digs for the match.  Katlyn Bade had 12 digs, while Rutledge added 16 and Lexi Dudycha added 9.

Mariah Steinbach had 7 blocks on the day, while bahr added 6 and AnnMarie Jalmasco added 4.

RCTC plays host to MCAC rival St. Cloud on Friday night with first serve set for 6:30. before stepping out of league play on Saturday versus NIACC at 11:00am

It is Homecoming week for the Yellowjackets, so swing out to the sports center on Friday and Saturday!!!
