RCTC pulls away to win 3-0 over MN State

Rochester, MN - The RCTC Yellowjacket volleyball team won two close sets before pulling away in set three to down Mn State - Fergus Falls 3-0 on Friday night.  After winning the first two sets 25-22 and 25-23, the jackets used a mid-set 8-1 run to pull away and win 25-14.

In a twist from recent matches it was the Yellowjacket defense that paved the way for the win, as they had 5 players with 7 or more digs, including three, Katlyn Bade (15), Brekkin McCready (11), and Heidi Wolf (11), in double figures.

McCready also added 38 assists, 3 service aces, and a block to her stat line for the night.  Carrie Rutledge led the Jackets with 15 kills while Mariah Steinbach added 8.

RCTC who improved to 10-4 on the season and 4-0 in the MCAC now face Ridgeater at noon on Saturday in the Sports Center.
