Rochester, MN - The big weekend for RCTC football team paid off not only in a 63-25 team win over Vermillion, but with a trio of Eastern Division MCAC Players of the Week honors.
Quarterback Justin Lynn lead the offensive charge with 490 yards passing and seven touchdowns to lead RCTC to a school record for passing yards (580) in the contest. Lynn was 29-48 for a 60.4% completion percentage. He averaged 10.2 yards per attempt. More impressively Lynn sat out the 4th quarter of the game, so he piled up his stats in only 3 quarters.
Special teams were equally as impressive for the Jackets as kicker Braulio Arango-Aguilar was a perfect 9-9 on PAT's for the day. The perfect afternoon earned him his second special teams player of the week honors.
But the Jackets weren't done as long snapper Braxton Wise earned lineman of the week. He and holder Phillip Hillesheim, along with Arango-Aguilar were the trio that helped the Jackets go 9-9 on extra points.
RCTC is back in action this Sturday night for HOMECOMING as the take on the Central Lakes Raiders at the Rochester Regional Stadium. Kick-off is set for 7:00pm
