Rochester, MN - Despite a strong fourth quarter the RCTC Yellowjackets fell to Anoka-Ramsey at the Sports Center tonight 54-70. The Jackets won the fourth quarter 16-13, but a sluggish first half proved costly. The Rams lead 37-22 at the break.
RCTC was lead in scoring by Olivia Matti with 12 points. Arianna Owens dropped in 10 points to join Matti in double figures. The Rams pressure defense proved to be the decisive factor in the game. Anoka forced 28 turnovers and turned them into 30 ppints. RCTC had 12 points off of turnovers. For the game RCTC hit 36% of their field goal attempts compared to 44% shooting for the Rams.
RCTC is back on the road this weekend, heading to Ridgewater College for a 1:00 game on Saturday...The Jackets round out theeir regular season home schedule next Wednesday taking on Fergus Falls at the Sports Center.
