Rockford, IL - The RCTC women's basketball team fell to Onondaga College 65-50 in the consolation semi-finals. The contest which was tight through three quarters was a reversal of the Yellowjackets opening round game on Friday night. In that game points were easier to come by as the Jackets erupted for 93 points in their 98-93 loss. In today's game it was tough for either team to put the ball in the hoop.
The Yellowjackets suffered through their worst shooting night of the season hitting on only 32% of their fieldgoal attempts. The RCTC defense was equally as stingy, holding Onondaga to only 33% shooting on the night. RCTC was lead in scoring by Nautika Kotero's 13 points. Perhaps the most obvious difference in the game came at the charity stripe, as Onondaga hit on 23-28 free throws while the Jakcets hit on only 4 of 7.
Jalysa Cutting and Olivia Haug both added 10 points for the game, and haug had another double-double pulling down 10 rebounds.
The Jackets play tomorrow (Saturday), in the 7th place game versus Rowan-Gloucester.
