RCTC uses 50 point second half to close out Mesabi Range

The RCTC men's basketball team held a narrow 38-35 halftime lead before exploding for 50 points in the second half to defea Mesabi Range 88-62.  RCTC's Jumah'Ri Turner lead the Jackets with 21 points while Kashif Hayes had a big night contributing 14 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals off the bench.  Joning Turner and Hayes in double figures was Justin Wofford with 11 points and 9 rebounds.

RCTC's offense was fueled by 55% shooting from the field and 40 free throw attempts on the night.  RCTC would outscore Mesabi 28-11 from the free throw line.  On the defensive side of the ball, RCTC held the Norse to 34% shooting, while forcing 12 turnovers and holding a 44-31 rebounding edge. RCTC's depth was also on full display as 12 of the 13 players who saw action scored in the game.

RCTC is right back in action Monday night Decemebr 11th on their home floor.  The Yellowjackets will face off agains Bethany Lutheran's JV in a non-conference contest with tip-off set for 7:00pm.
