Men's and Women's Golf at The Jewel in Lake City, MN, September 22. RCTC’s Dillon Stevens shot a 72 to tie for 2nd, Brady Becker shot a 76 and Keyth Hendricks shot an 81 for a team 3rd place in the invite. MacKenzie Olsen shot a 75 to take the medalist.
Abby Ramirez proved herself to be a leader for the RCTC Soccer Team last weekend in Illinois. Abby controlled the tempo of the game in the midfield . She not only helps with the transition from defense to offense but also from offense to defense. She took 3 shots on goal and scored one of them. She set up multiple shots for other players as well. Abby is from Dover, MN.
Brandon Peters named Football MCAC Special Teams Player of the Week. Brandon opened the second half with an 82 yard kickoff return for a touchdown as the #10 Yellowjackets toppled Vermilion. Peters is a freshman from Tampa, FL.
Tori Peterson named MCAC All-Around Volleyball Player of the Week. Tori had 57 kills (3.35) and 40 digs (2.35) during a week that saw the Yellowjackets play five matches (3-2) and suffer 3-1 losses to a pair of top 5 teams. Peterson had one double-double and just missed having 3 more. She is a sophomore from Harmony, MN.
Jessica Foster named Volleyball MCAC Setter of the Week for the second time this season. Jessica averaged 9.8 assists topping the 40 mark twice as #6 Rochester won 3 of 5 losing only to #2 Madison and #4 Harper. Foster, a sophomore from Brownsdale, MN, added 22 digs and 10 kills.
Golf at Iowa Lakes Invite in Okoboje, IA, Saturday, September 19th. MacKenzie Olsen, sophomore from Stewartville, MN, shot a 90 to finish 11th out of 30. This meet has all scholarship schools or 4 year schools so this was a good finish for her. On the men's side, Brady Becker, freshman from Hayfield shot an 81, Keyth Hendricks, freshman form Lakeville, shot an 82 and Dillon Stevens, freshman from Kasson, shot an 82. RCTC returns to action at The Jewel in Lake City on Tuesday at 11am - hosting a 7 team event.

RCTC Golf compete's in Fergus Falls tournament Sept. 13 & 14th. Women's Golf: MacKenzie Olsen shot a 75, 74 to claim medalist honors at the Spartan Invitational. Men's Golf: RCTC men shot a 2 day 635 (328,307) to claim 2nd place in the 6 team Spartan Invitational. Brady Becker finished 3rd individually (77,72) and Brandon Bergene finished 9th (81,79)
Nick Rooney has been named Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. Nick led #12 Rochester to a dramatic 43 - 40 win over #13 Central Lakes throwing for 528 yards and 5 TD. Rooney completed 28 of 44 pass attempts and suffered only 1 INT. He also rushed for 18 yards. Rooney is a sophomore from Minnetonka, MN.
Carly McCabe has been named MCAC Defensive Player of the Week. Carly had 64 digs (3.8) and 5 aces (.30) for the #5 Yellowjackets (8-4, 4-0 South) as they won 3 of 5 matches including wins over DII Bismarck State and Ellsworth. McCabe had 20 digs during an intense 3-2 loss to #4 Central Lakes. She is a freshman from Decorah, IA.
