Ben Boran Claims MCAC Player-of -the-Week

The Rochester Community & Technical College baseball team took the field four times over the week of April 23-29, and one Yellowjacket in particular did his part, and more, to help lead his team from the plate and the field.

Ben Boran, a sophomore infielder from Waterville, hit for an impressive .700 average against neighboring teams Western Technical College and Riverland Community College in MCAC Southern Division play.   Boran cracked 3 doubles, accounted for four runs scored and collected five RBI's.  He earned one base the hard way - getting hit by a pitch - drew two walks and had a sacrifice as well.

The well-rounded offensive performance, as well as the solid defensive play in the field, helped earn the RCTC athlete the MCAC Southern Division Player-of-the-Week honor.
