Notable Achievements

 

Football Yellowjackets Win 2000 NJCAA Division III Championship

Chuck Siefert replaced Joel Swisher after his unexpected death in 2000.  Spurred on by Joel’s memory, the team went 12-0 and captured the NJCAA Division III National Football Championship. It was the first and only national team championship in the college’s history at that time.

 

  

Football Yellowjackets Win 2007 NJCAA Division III Championship

Brad LaPlante's 2007 squad finished the season undefeated with an 11-0 record and were named the NJCAA Division III Champions.  LaPlante had a cumulative head coaching record of 64-16 (53-10 conference record, 10-2 playoff record) from 2004-10 and led RCTC to four state championships in six appearances, five NJCAA bowl games.  In January of 2013,  LaPlante was named the head football coach at Northwest Mississippi Community College.

 

 

Women Yellowjackets Win 2009 NJCAA Division III Basketball Championship

In the 2008-09 Steve Hucke's women's basketball team finished the season perfect with a 34-0 record winning the NJCAA Division III National Championship.  The team was led by All-Americans Anne Breland and Amanda Degnan.
